X-Rite GmbH Introduces Advanced R&D and QC Software
for Automotive Lighting Market
Berlin, Germany March 18, 2005 X-Rites
GmbH subsidiary Optronik today announced the release of
LightCon, an advanced quality control software application
for the automotive lighting market. LightCon sets a new
standard in photometry, meeting the latest certification
requirements for R&D in the field of automotive lighting.
Its graphic user interface is designed for ease of use,
including a wizard menu that leads the user step by step
through the application.
LightCon replaces OPTO95 and OPTO98, introduced in
1995 and 1998 respectively, as a state of the art Windows
based software application used for measuring automotive
lighting with a goniophotometer, said Dr. Katrin Kobe,
Business Category Engineering Manager for Optronik. LightCon
will support all of Optroniks light measurement instruments,
including the SMS10 goniophotometer, RMS10 retroreflectometer,
and FMS10 tristimulus colorimeter.
The official market introduction will be held in April
