X-Rite GmbH Introduces Advanced R&D and QC Software for Automotive Lighting Market

Berlin, Germany— March 18, 2005 — X-Rite’s GmbH subsidiary Optronik today announced the release of LightCon, an advanced quality control software application for the automotive lighting market. LightCon sets a new standard in photometry, meeting the latest certification requirements for R&D in the field of automotive lighting. Its graphic user interface is designed for ease of use, including a wizard menu that leads the user step by step through the application.

“LightCon replaces OPTO95 and OPTO98, introduced in 1995 and 1998 respectively, as a state of the art Windows based software application used for measuring automotive lighting with a goniophotometer,” said Dr. Katrin Kobe, Business Category Engineering Manager for Optronik. “LightCon will support all of Optronik’s light measurement instruments, including the SMS10 goniophotometer, RMS10 retroreflectometer, and FMS10 tristimulus colorimeter.”
