DSP 10 Photometer – For ultra-fast “on-the-fly” measurements with goniometers

The preamplifier of the DSP 10 Photometer was specially developed for fast “on-the-fly” measurements with goniophotometers. This enables spatial light distributions to be determined in a fraction of the time required for conventional systems.

DSP 10 Photometer

The DSP 10 can be used to take measurements from traditional light sources, such as filament, halogen, fluorescent and discharge lamps, as well as from modern test samples with pulse-modulated LEDs. This wide range of applications is facilitated by the unique combination of analog amplifier technology with digital signal processing.

  • Very fast preamplifier with an internal scan rate of 25,000 samples/sec. for measurements with AMS Goniophotometers (Optronik Line) und LGS Goniophotometers from Instrument Systems
  • Compliant with the requirements of Class L or A in conformity with DIN 5032-7, CIE Publication 69 and EN 13032-1 for laboratory measurements
  • Adaptive measuring range switchover for all light sources (also PWM LEDs from 80 Hz to 10 kHz with very short duty cycles)
  • Connection to AMS Controller via CAN Bus
  • RS232 interface for connecting to a PC

The DSP processor

The measured signal passes a digital, auto-adaptive filter to eliminate any modulation and interference from the signal depending on the type of light source being tested. The filter characteristics are optimally adjusted to the different signal sources. The ultra-fast digital signal processor guarantees excellent stability and reproducibility for the measurements.
